Will it work on my floor?

Plank Grabber grips suitable clean, sealed surfaces, including textured laminate, LVT and engineered wood. Gap repair requires planks that can move: do not force glued or nailed boards, damaged locking edges or tiles already bonded to the subfloor. Raw, porous and unsealed wood is not suitable.

Frequently asked questions

Will a closed gap stay closed?
Plank Grabber moves the plank back into position. Whether the gap stays closed depends on the cause of movement. Where the flooring manufacturer permits joint bonding, apply Injectafix to the plank joint before closing it. Keep perimeter expansion gaps open and do not bond a floating floor to its subfloor.

How do I protect the floor and tool?
Read the included instructions, clean the pad and floor, and test on a discreet area. Use a rubber mallet on the intended strike points. Do not use a standard hammer or force a board that cannot move.

What if several linked planks are tight?
Click Lube can help compatible grooved joints move. Follow the flooring and product instructions, and investigate damaged or fixed boards before applying more force.

Care and replacement parts

The anodised aluminium tool has serviceable suction pads and end caps. Keep the pad clean and use the protective cover as directed. Check the service kit and replacement pads pages for current availability.
